Steps
for a Nevada Holding Company
Business License in the City of Las Vegas.
Many individuals
will form a Nevada LLC to protect safe assets such as investments in
the stock market. The City of Las Vegas has a new business license category,
called, "a holding company license" for this situation. Here
are the steps required in that situation:
1. Complete
the Department of Taxation form for a State Business License.
2. Complete the Nevada Business Registration form.
3. Bring these to the Department of Taxation, which is located at 555
E. Washington.
4. The fee will be $25.
5. They will give you a clearance letter.
6. Bring that clearance letter to the City Business license located
at:
731
S 4th Street on the corner of 4th and Gass.
7. Complete
the Nevada Business Registration form for them also (make sure it has
an original signature on the form).
8. Bring a copy of your articles of organization with the back page
that is the file stamped copy. Also, make a copy of the corporate charter.
9. You will also have to fill out a home occupation permit (a one-page
form at this office). If you do not own your home, and you rent your
home or an apartment you will need a letter from your landlord or property
management company giving you permission to hang a license at your location.
10. The total fees are $80 (you will have a semiannual fee based upon
the gross sales or income of the LLC).
